Check the Signed Publisher
For this release, Windows should show Beijing Qingruan Chuangxiang Technology Co., Ltd. as the signer. Open the downloaded file’s Properties → Digital Signatures and inspect its status. This identifies the signed publisher; it is not an endorsement by Microsoft or an antivirus vendor.
Compare the File Fingerprint
Use PowerShell to calculate the download’s SHA-256, then compare it with the website’s release list. The listed installer aliases should have the same bytes.
Get-FileHash -LiteralPath ".\FreeAppLock.exe" -Algorithm SHA256Keep Reputation Checks in Perspective
A timestamped digital signature helps establish who signed those bytes. Antivirus and SmartScreen decisions can still differ or change. There is no promise of universal acceptance or permanent freedom from detections. Investigate an unexpected report instead of disabling your security tools.
Distinguish the Installer from Your Protected File
The downloaded setup is signed as a release. Protecting your chosen EXE later changes its access permissions without modifying that EXE’s content or embedded signature. These are separate checks on separate files.
