Gather the Small Details

- Whether the file is local NTFS, was moved, was replaced or had permissions changed elsewhere.
- The exact visible result message, with personal directories and filenames removed where appropriate.
Keep the Recovery Evidence
Preserve the vault, relevant recovery kits and the original file while investigating. Avoid repeated manual permission edits or replacing a current vault with an old export. Never send your management password or an unencrypted private file in a support message.
